3 simple steps to manage stress

Did you know? “Stress is the leading cause of ALL disease. In the last 3 years, our life expectancy in America has gone down each year and there has been an increase in deaths of despair (overdose, cirrhosis, and suicide). 50 people die each day from RX painkillers.” - Sanjay Gupta, “One Nation Under Stress”

I used to manage stress like most Americans, do... with Rx meds, drinking, overeating/spending, emotional outbursts, and isolation. Then it stopped working for me and I had to find another way to live more peacefully.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve watched friends die from the prescription and alcohol epidemic. Most people I know have been affected by it. I’m passionate about helping people take control of their lives naturally.

It starts with us. And then we can teach our children to live with with less anxiety, worry, frustration. It’s up to us to model self care to our children. If we don’t, who will?

I use a combined approach of yoga, mindfulness, cleansing, lifestyle choices, and natural products to manage my stress today. I'm so freaking grateful to have found my way out of the spiral.

Here are 3 simple steps to start managing your stress today! The next time you feel the overwhelm starting to take over…

  1. Pause. Stop what you are doing, be still, and pause. Notice your surroundings.

  2. Breathe. Take 5 deep breaths. If you have an essential oil nearby, grab that and inhale deeply. I recommend Stress Away.

  3. Notice your thoughts. Are they useful? If not, choose again. I like to think of something I appreciate in my immediate surroundings.

Now that you have shifted your awareness, you can handle what the day brings more gracefully.

If you are ready to reduce the stress in your life and live more naturally, let's work together! I equip both parents and children with simple, practical tools that work directly with the nervous system to help regulate stress so that you can live more peacefully in the present moment.
