Where flowers bloom, so does hope.

One thing we can count on in this life is that everything is always changing. Whether we like it or not. Nothing is permanent. So just when I start to get bogged down in the mundane or the hard stuff of life, I like to pause and remind myself that, “this too shall pass”. In the blink of an eye, things can change.

Try this mindfulness practice: Sip your morning coffee (or beverage of your choice) on your porch outside without your phone or a book to distract you. Just sit and watch the blooming of a new season. Fully immerse your senses. Get quiet and listen to the birds. Feel the gentle breeze and the sunshine on your skin. Notice the scents of the blooming flowers. Walk barefoot on the grass and feel the morning dew. Feel the warm mug in your hands. Savor it.
